United Way works for healthier Jo Daviess, Stephenson, and Carroll Counties
Whether it is a neighbor without health insurance, a victim of abuse, or someone struggling with mental illness or an addiction, United Ways are working to ensure everyone has access to affordable and quality care.
United Way of Northwest Illinois is committed to improving the health of our local community through a wide variety of programs and initiatives including but not limited to mentoring programs for children, Senior Services that increase an individual's ability to remain living independently in our community, and prescription assistance for individuals who are under insured or have no health insurance.
Achieving our goal requires us all to become more aware of health risks and the potential effects they have on ourselves and others, starting from before birth. Working to educate our community, change policies and practices, and providing services that improve an individual's ability to care for themselves or others will enable more people to live healthier lives.
